Damien Hirst

For the Love of God

Here are some of Damien Hirst works. I’m not sure if I uploaded them correctly so hopefully they show up. The diamond skull “for the love of god” is his most prominent work, but I am leaning towards “Little Piggy” and his work that is submerged in formaldehyde. I’ll be cutting my own head in half so you can see the inside of my skull. I think think doing this captures Hirst work and inspiration, because he is all about death and how it makes the living feel. I’m still working on finding an artist statement by him his official website is down for  maintenance and I’ve been having trouble finding one. The video I posted early is the closets thing I have found.
